Telila washing station, located in the Djimma region of Ethiopia, receives cherry from a vast number of coffee producing communities all over the Djimma region in the west of Ethiopia.

Coffees from this area share a lot of characteristics as the more known Yirgacheffe coffees in the south, with similar floral and citric notes.

Most farms in this region are small semi forest systems, where the cherries are hand picked. Once delivered to the Telila washing station the cherry is floated to remove any under ripe, pulped, fermented and dried. The drying process usually takes around 10 days.

We are so excited to be able to showcase yet another belter from the Telila washing station. We taste floral notes of jasmine and violet right off the bat, with delicate acidity like blood orange and lemongrass, delivered with a light yet syrupy body.
